Kia ora, my name is Claire and I am thrilled to be teaching at Mount Biggs School.

I grew up in Feilding and live here with my husband, and our daughter.

For my first 4 years I have was teaching in Whanganui and I am really enjoying the many changes that being at Mt Biggs brings and being part of the school community.

Kia ora. My name is theresa. I started at Mount Biggs School in term 3 2018 and thoroughly enjoy being a part of the community. As an experienced junior teacher, I am motivated and believe that I would make a valuable contribution to the continued growth and progress of Mount Biggs School. I believe in developing children’s abilities to learn for themselves, through play based learning. This way of learning allows for curiosity and creativity in a natural and authentic way. I believe this way of learning also empowers students to take ownership of their learning.

Kia ora. My name is Rowan. I have been coming Mount Biggs School for 5 years to drop off my children and now I get to stay and be part of a wonderful teaching team. I have taught all ages but am loving the opportunity to focus on the Junior Learners in my Year 2/3 class. I believe that the most important job of a teacher is to build a child's confidence as a learner and help them to challenge themselves.
